 SOLOS

Sometimes Wisdom is Madness

Commissioned by the Morris Museum of Art, Augusta, GA to accompany the touring exhibit of the work of Zelda Fitzgerald.
This ten minute solo takes its inspiration from the art work and wrtings of Zelda Fitzgerald, In Miller's true style - the character of Zelda is left alone, but rather the piece is an opportunity to reflect on what happens to a woman in relationship to her time and her creativity.

The Annunciation.... sort of

Mary says no, and Gabriel tries to cope.

Multi Medea Idea

The Medea myth turned upside down and inside out. Performance sites include: New Vaudeville Festival 200 LaMama, ETC, NYC; Dance Place, Washington, DC

The Cranky Angel
"Miller's 'Cranky Angel' retells the biblical tale of Jacob's battle with the angel, with a twist. Through both words and an elaborately crafted language of hand and arm gestures, body tremors, undulations and sudden staccato kicks, Miller magnifies the transformative potential of a new viewpoint on a trusted, perhaps rusty, subject."
Washington Post, January 2003. Original Score by Normando Ismay

Performed at Symphony Hall, New York City; Northeastern University, Boston; Shimberg Theatre, Tampa, FL; Dance Place, Washington, DC; Zuzi Dance Theatre, Tuscon, AZ and more.
